Today is one of those Sundays when my family went to Santa Monica’s Third Street Promenade (TSP) early and arrived just as the restaurants were opening in the renovated mall, which, by the way, is an amazing and gorgeous use of outdoor/indoor space.

There were only a few TSP artists performing before noon – but Mike Sullivan is one of them. A few weeks ago when we visited he was there with a drummer. Today he was there performing by himself sans drummer. He was singing “Crazy”, which kinda grew on me, so on my way back I dropped $10 into the black cup and grabbed a CD.

I also dropped a few bucks for a singer who sang “I did it my way”, which reminded me of our Uncle Jimmy back in Singapore, and it made me happy. I also felt happy supporting some of these street performers whenever I can, because it’s not easy to put yourself out there and perform!

I started keeping tabs of the adjectives my husband was using to describe the day… idyllic, breezy, chillaxing, so cal… yea it was a gorgeous day!
