Indian Summer Restaurant El Segundo ROCKS

without comments

After my deep disappointment in the last Indian restaurant I visited, my craving for Saag Aloo remained unsatisfied. You know how sometimes a lady has the worst craving for chocolate? Well, I had a craving like that, except for saag aloo! Read the rest of this entry »

Szechwan Restaurant in Manhattan Beach Lousy!

with 2 comments

926 N Sepulveda Blvd
Manhattan Beach, CA 90266

We’ve eaten here before and the dine-in service was so-so; the food quality is on the greasy side and the predominant flavor seems to be “doused with soy sauce”.

This evening we paid over $20 for 2 dinner entrees (take out) that didn’t even come with rice. The lady at the bar who gave me the takeout order was rude when I asked what I thought was a normal takeout inquiry: if the entrees came with rice. I can deal with the crappy service if the food was good – but the beef and broccoli was incredibly greasy and bad even for “white Chinese takeout”!

We will never eat here again and will advise everyone we know against visiting this place. Based on this restaurant’s spotty record with both takeout and dine-in customers, our experience wasn’t a fluke or bad luck. This is the first time I’m writing a “restaurant is lousy” review on this blog because my experience was bad enough to warrant writing up about it.

Disclosure: I am not affiliated in any way with this restaurant!

Fiesta Hermosa 2006 Memorial Day Weekend

Coca Cola is giving away free Vault drinks and Carnation is giving free coffee samples. All other food is overpriced as usual :) We hopped into the nearby Subway sandwich shop to get a sub instead of spending $4 on a hotdog. Read the rest of this entry »
